Since 1977, Monte Carlo Italian Restaurant has been known as the “best taste, best price, made fresh-to-order” pizza in Lynchburg, Virginia. Customers come from all over Central Virginia to enjoy a true old-fashioned Italian pizza that is hard to find in this region. Owner/chef Filippo Carcioppolo has perfected a unique style of Italian pizza, made with multiple combinations of meats, cheeses, vegetable and sauces. The secret within the great taste of the pizza comes with the fresh garlic, basil oregano, tomatoes and so much more. Each hand tossed pizza is made in a gas-fired brick oven that is set at 500 degrees. All ingredients with the pizza are always fresh, including mozzarella, tomato sauce and herbs. No canned foods or imitated food is used on any pizzas or dishes at Monte Carlo Italian Restaurant. The pizza at Monte Carlo is known as Lynchburg’s best pizza, and has had that title for the past 43 years.
